BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) — A local business owner was arrested after a raid at his dispensary uncovered a large quantity of marijuana, hallucinogenic mushrooms, THC products, and firearms, authorities said.
The Warren County Drug Task Force launched an investigation into Vito’s Dispensary, 160 River Place Avenue, following complaints from area law enforcement agencies and other sources about the sale of marijuana and hallucinogenic mushrooms.
Detectives conducted a controlled purchase of hallucinogenic mushrooms from the store a few weeks ago.
On Feb. 23, 2026, DTF detectives, accompanied by a Drug and Supplement Retail Inspector from the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services, returned to the business.
Detectives observed Schedule I controlled substances inside and obtained a search warrant with assistance from the Warren County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office, a news release said.
A warrant was executed at approximately 12:15 p.m., with the Warren County Sheriff’s Office assisting.
Authorities seized:
The store’s owner, 50-year-old Vito Jermaine Tisdale of Bowling Green, was arrested and charged with trafficking in marijuana over five pounds and first-degree trafficking of a controlled substance (hallucinogenic mushrooms), both with firearm enhancements. He was lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail under a $6,000 bond.
The Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office will present the investigation results to a Warren County grand jury, and additional arrests and charges are expected, officials said.
The Drug Task Force reminded the city’s 37 vape and tobacco shops that trafficking in marijuana remains illegal under Kentucky law and will continue to be enforced.
