BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — On May 14, 2026, just before midnight, officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle after the driver failed to stop behind a marked crosswalk near West Chinden Boulevard and East Veterans' Memorial Parkway.
Upon speaking with the driver, 28-year-old Christopher Alas of West Covina, CA, and the front passenger, 37-year-old Terrell Reedus of Van Nuys, CA, officers detected the odor of marijuana in the vehicle. During a probable cause search of the vehicle, officers located large quantities of marijuana and THC products.
Officers also located drug paraphernalia and materials indicating the intent to sell, package and deliver the marijuana. During a consent search of an additional passenger, 40-year-old Michael Lewis of Las Vegas, NV, officers found he had drug paraphernalia.
All three suspects were arrested and booked into the Ada County Jail on numerous charges. Upon entering the Ada County Jail, detention staff found that Lewis had two concealed baggies of presumed positive illegal substances, leading to two additional felony charges.
