HAYFORK, Calif. – The driver of a vehicle was arrested by the California Highway Patrol last Thursday after officers located bags of marijuana during a traffic stop.
Authorities say that on January 15, a sergeant with the Trinity River Area office of the California Highway Patrol, in collaboration with a California Highway Patrol Northern Division K9 team, conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near Hayfork in Trinity County.
During a search of the vehicle, officers discovered approximately 62 pounds of marijuana that was contained within multiple plastic bags.
The California Highway Patrol says this successful operation reflects their ongoing dedication to ensuring community safety through effective teamwork.
