MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – The West Tennessee Drug Task Force announced on Sunday that agents executed a drug search warrant and found meth, marijuana and cash.
Agents out of the 29th District of Dyersburg as well Dyer County Sheriff’s deputies served the warrant on Friday evening near Carrie Street and the 6000 block of TN-104.
A man was arrested and charged with possession of a schedule 2 and a schedule 4 substance as well as drug paraphernalia.
The WTDTF said they seized 3.5 ounces (96 grams) of methamphetamine, one ounce of marijuana and $3,471 in drug proceeds. They also said agents seized a “stash can” that was disguised as a can of corn.
“I almost feel like there could be a dealer, a can of corn and a 1/4 lb. of meth walk into a bar joke in here somewhere, but, meth is no joke and the dealer is in jail”, Task Force Director Johnie Carter said.
