ATLANTA — A woman was shot while trying to purchase marijuana in Atlanta early Thursday morning, according to police.
Atlanta Police officers were called to 151 Cleveland Ave. SW. in response to a person shot.
When they arrived, they found a woman suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Authorities say the woman was alert, breathing, and conscious, and taken to the hospital for treatment.
The woman’s identity was not revealed.
Early investigations revealed that the victim had gone to the 2600 block of Old Hapeville Road SW to purchase marijuana when the shooting happened.
